Myddle

Art: We are making Gas masks and Canvas bags to take with us on the Severn Valley Railway trip. This is to do with our biggest project world war 2.

Maths: We are doing bar charts and working out even chances about who we think will win in the world cup.

Science:We are making alarms for air raids.They are a bit like burglary alarms, so if someone steps on it then it goes of .

English: We’ve been doing some modern poetry like raps.

P.E.:  We are trying to get our bronze silver or gold award in athletics.

French: We have just written letters to our pen pals in France and we are learning about the weather. 

In Class 3 we have had a lady from Shropshire Music Service come in to teach us how to play the penny whistle.  Near to the end of  the half term, Class 3 might put on a show for parents and the rest of the school to hear us play the penny whistle. Penny Whistle has been going on for four weeks now and we have two weeks left . The children in Class 3 all agree that they have enjoyed there lessons.

Now that the Sats are over, the year 6 pupils can relax and start to get ready for the Corbet school (secondary school).They are all hoping that they did well, as their results don’t come until July. We hope that they enjoy their last few weeks at Myddle school.

In Class 3 we have been making a St. Lucia collage about St. Lucia and the other Caribbean Islands. It will be displayed in the hall for everyone to see. We have done a lot of researchabout the history  of the Caribbean and everyone has made somthing to go on the display. It looks fantastic!

On April 1st the school will be putting on a small performance for Easter in the Church at 1:30 PM.Also the children will be moving around the church doing different activities and the parents are welcome to come and watch. We look forward to seeing you.

On April 1st  in school there will be an Easter Egg Hunt  and a  colouring competition , the winners will be announced at the Easter Bunny Drive, winners will also receive a special Easter Prize.

After the Easter holiday, each class will be starting a new project.

Class One will be learning about animals, plants and habitats.

Class Two will be learning about Life After the World wars.

Class Three will be learning about  World war two, and they will be going on a trip to The Severn Valley Railway.

On Thursday 21st of January class 3 had an artist called Leanne come to do a mosaic for our school here is what some children thought:

Ruth said “I thought it was wicked because we got to stick little tiles onto big tiles to make a big mosaic for our school”.

Victoria said “It was fun because you get you’re fingers very sticky and all our effort made a mosaic”

Class 2 and Class 1 made giant crosses out of mosiac tiles to go around the school.
